QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Everything people ask us.
The questions we get most, answered straight. If yours is not here, message us — we answer on WhatsApp, usually the same day.
The basics
Where are you?
We work by appointment in Aruba, so there is no walk-in shop floor. Message us on WhatsApp and we send you the location with your booking.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Every car gets a slot so it is not sitting around waiting. Send us a message with your car and what you want and we will set a time.
What does it cost?
It depends on the car and what you want done — the same job is not the same price on every vehicle. Tell us the car and the idea and you get a straight, no-obligation number on WhatsApp.
How can I pay?
50% to start and 50% when you collect, or monthly payments spread over a few months. You pick which when you ask for your quote.
Do you work on my car?
Sedans, SUVs, trucks, EVs, bikes — if it has the panel, we can usually light it. Send a photo of your car and we will tell you straight whether it works.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes — there is a warranty on every install. If something goes wrong with what we fitted, you bring it back and we sort it.
How long does it take?
It depends on the job — a full starlight roof takes longest because every fibre goes in by hand. You always get the time with your quote, before you book anything.
Starlight Headliners
Can you see it during the day?
No. With the lights off the roof looks like a normal headliner. The fibres sit flush and the ends are trimmed, so there is nothing to notice until you switch it on.
Will it fit my car?
If it has a roof, it can have a sky. We have done sedans, SUVs, trucks, EVs and coupes. Send us a photo of your interior and we will tell you straight.
Does it damage the headliner?
The panel comes out and goes back on its own clips. It is the same headliner, worked on properly — not a second layer stuck over the one you have.
How long do you keep the car?
It depends on the density and whether you are adding a headliner retrim. You get the time with your quote, before you book anything.
Underglow
Is it legal to drive with it on?
Rules differ by country and they change. We fit it so it can be switched off, and we would tell you to check the current rules here before you drive with it lit on a public road.
Will it survive the rain and the salt?
That is what the routing is for. The strips are sealed units and the runs are tucked away from standing water, which is the part that kills cheap kits here.
Can I change the colour myself?
Yes. The kit is yours to run — pick a colour, keep it, or change it whenever. We set it up with you before the car leaves.
Does it work on a bike?
Yes, we have done them. Send a photo and we will tell you what fits your frame.
Ambient Lighting
Do you have to take the doors apart?
The trim comes off so the channel and the wiring can go behind it, then it goes back on its own clips. That is the only way to get a line that looks built in.
Can it go in an older car?
Usually yes. Older cars often have plainer panels, which can actually make the run cleaner. Send photos of your doors and dash and we will tell you what is possible.
Will it rattle?
Not if the trim is clipped back properly and the wiring is secured instead of left loose behind the panel. That is most of the work.
Can I add it to a starlight roof later?
Yes, and plenty of people do it the other way round too. If you think you will want both, tell us at the quote and we will plan the wiring once.
Window Tint
How dark can I legally go?
Rules change and they are worth checking as they stand now. Tell us how you use the car and we will talk you through the trade-offs before anything is cut.
Can you tint just the front two?
Yes. Plenty of cars come in with the rears already done from the factory and only need the fronts matched.
What if it bubbles later?
Come back to us. Every install leaves here with warranty — that is the point of having it done properly rather than cheaply.
How soon can I roll the windows down?
Not straight away — the film needs to cure first. We will tell you exactly how long when you collect the car.
Brake Calipers
Does it come off if I want it gone?
Yes. That is the main argument for film over paint — the caliper underneath is untouched.
Will the heat from the brakes kill it?
Not when the surface is prepared properly and the film is laid on a clean, cool caliper. Rushing that prep is what causes lifting later.
Can you do the rears as well?
Yes, and it is worth doing all four. Two done and two not is the one thing that reads as unfinished.
Do you need the car for long?
Less time than a full build, but the finish has to be left alone to set before the car moves. You get the exact time with your quote.
Sound Systems
Do I have to replace the whole system?
No. A lot of cars get a big lift from just the front speakers and proper power. Tell us your budget and we will tell you where it is best spent.
Will my steering wheel controls still work?
That is the aim on every head unit swap. Tell us the car and we will confirm before you commit to anything.
Will a sub kill my boot space?
It depends how far you want to go. There are builds that keep the boot usable and builds that do not. We will show you the trade before we build anything.
Can you fix wiring someone else did?
Bring it in. A lot of the problems people come to us with are power and earth problems, not equipment problems.
Car Detailing
Will it get scratches out?
Light swirls and marks in the clear coat, often yes. Anything deep enough to catch your fingernail is a different job. We will look at the car and tell you honestly which yours is.
How often should I have it done?
It depends how the car lives — parked outside near the water is very different from a covered spot. We will give you a straight answer for your car rather than a schedule.
Can you do just the inside?
Yes. Inside only, outside only, or both. Tell us which and what state it is in.
Is it worth it on an older car?
Often it is where it shows most. Paint that has never been decontaminated has the most to give back.
Garage & Mechanical
Do I have to be booking lights as well?
No. The mechanical work stands on its own. It just happens to be convenient if you are already having something else done.
Can you tell me what is wrong first?
Bring it in or describe it on WhatsApp. We will tell you what we think before any work starts, not after.
Do you work on any make?
Ask us about yours. We would rather check than promise blind.
Can I pay this in parts too?
The same payment terms apply across what we do. There is a full page on it.
Still not answered?
Ask us directly. Send a photo of your car and what you have in mind — we will tell you straight whether we can do it, and what it costs.
